What is RFID?

RFID = Radio Frequency Identification
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification.With this technology , data are transmitted without physical or visual contact of a disk, from the so-called transponder or tag to an RFID reader, and vice versa. The major advantage of all types of RFID systems is that they operate contactless and no visual contact is required. In addition to this, it can be read through variety of substances such as snow,fog, ice, paint, dirt, and other difficult conditions. Communication takes place in most cases in less than 100 milliseconds. Active RFID systems are particularly suitable for interactive applications, such as in the pursuit of semi-finished goods or maintenance.
